Renovation of an educational facility in Salt Lake City, Utah. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
The purpose of this project is to provide added security to the student residences while keeping the entry ways as historically accurate as is possible. There are a total of ten ( 10) buildings, all were constructed circa 187 4. It has not been determined if the existing doors, casings, etc. now comprising the front entries are original or early replacements. As such they should be used as models for this replacement. All existing historic materials are to be removed with extreme care, wrapped and labeled and set aside for storage in an area acceptable to the project Historical Architect. All designs and materials must be approved prior to installation by the project manager and the Historical Architect, who will coordinate required consultation with the Utah State Historic Office.
