Renovation of a mixed-use development in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
In general the work consists of: Full replacement of the inner and outer entrance doors on the west 32 and east sides of the Kenwood Interdisciplinary Research Center (KIRC), the main student/staff 33 entrances for this building. The work includes downsizing the existing doors from 9'-6" to 7'-6" high and 34 from 3'-4" to 3'-1" wide and in-filling the curtain wall area above the reduced size doors with new transom 35 lites. Along with the door and sub-frame replacements, the door hardware (geared hinges, closers, power 36 transfers, pulls, overhead stops, perimeter seals, sweeps, and thresholds) will be replaced. Some of the 37 existing door hardware (exit devices, cylinders, and electric hardware items) will be reused. 38 Miscellaneous work includes replacement of existing ADA door closers on four doors.
