The Project consists of the following major elements: approximately 5,114 SY of asphalt milling, demolition of existing parking lots including asphalt, concrete and curbing, installation of 9,099 LF of 24" concrete curb and gutter, 5,114 SY asphalt overlay, 31,731 SY of asphalt paving and base, 1,981 SY of concrete paving, 392 SY concrete sidewalk, 1,688 LF of storm pipe (15" thru 24"), traffic striping, maintenance of traffic, erosion and sedimentation control, and all appurtenances necessary for a complete job. The successful bidder, being responsible as well as responsive, shall commence work with an adequate force and equipment on a date specified in a written order of the Project Engineer. All work on the Project must be completed within 180 consecutive calendar days of the date of notice to proceed. Bids must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in an amount of not less than five (5) percent of the amount bid. A Contract Performance Bond and Payment Bond equal to one hundred (100) percent of the contract price will be required. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of thirty (30) days after the scheduled time for receiving the bids.
