Renovation of a transportation facility in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. Design plans call for the renovation of a transportation facility.

Project Description: Scope of work consists of the following: Station Building: Evaluate station buildings front canopy especially tie rods for corrosion section loss and fatigue stress and determine the extent of canopy repair. Prepare and paint windows. Prepare and refinish wood doors, install missing rail. Investigate and correct possible water quality issues in hydronic cooling and heating systems. Replace duct and piping insulation as needed where damaged . Reactivate existing radiator heating system in the main waiting space. Roof Areas: Provide design for roof replacement over the pedestrian bridge and include an OSHA compliant safety tie of system. Provide design for platform stair roof replacement and platform stair enclosure repairs. Perform thermal scans of platform canopy roofs and perform water flow test for all roof drains . Evaluate roof drains and outlets to verify condition and to determine the extent of repair and/or replacement . Baggage Enclosures: Evaluate existing enclosure conditions including the skylights, windows, fascia and wood trim, brick walls. Prepare and paint historic facias, gutters and downspouts, restore skylights and windows. Pedestrian Bridge: Replace windows with historically corrected windows. Perform dew-point analysis on pedestrian bridge floor to determine potential for moisture within carpet . Evaluate foundation systems below platforms to determine the extent of repair. Platform Replacement: Provide design for platform replacement including foundations, platforms shall be precast concrete, 800-0 long . Evaluate canopy foundation piers to determine the extent of repair. Perform localized repairs and paint existing canopy structures. Install overhead radiant heating units in the platform stairways to prevent ice buildup .. The method of contractor selection has not been determined at this time.
