This project will improve the intersection at Orchard Road and OR281 by decreasing the turning radius and raising the elevation of the inside of the curve to lessen the cross-slope. This forces the many trucks that drive the route to make a turn that enters the lane of oncoming traffic. The current configuration of the intersection does not allow for proper sight distance. These intersection improvements will help to ensure that vehicles can make the turn onto OR 281 safely.
