Various improvements and maintenance of existing infrastructure at Vance Brand Airport are included in the 2012 Airport Master Plan. In 2024, the state's aeronautics division agreed with the need to move a runway maintenance project up a year to perform maintenance and completely remark the airport surfaces with the FAA required markings in accordance with FAA standards to improve safety and visibility of the severely faded markings. In addition to runway maintenance, there will also be a project in 2024 to complete the airport fence. As of September 9, 2024, this project is in City of Longmont's capital budget fy 2025 - 2029 CIP. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
