The Town of Pulaski, Virginia (Owner), on behalf of Calfee CCC LLC (Property Developer), is soliciting sealed bids from general contractors to rehabilitate the existing historic Calfee Training School building for a community and cultural center that will house a childcare program, museum commemorating local African American history, a community kitchen, event and office spaces, a computer lab, and outdoor play spaces. and rehabilitation project of the existing building for a new preschool. The Town of Pulaski and Calfee CCC LLC are Equal Opportunity Employers. Minority and female owned businesses are encouraged to submit. This is a federally assisted project. Bidders and contractors performing work under this advertisement are bound by the requirements of Presidents Executive Order 11246 as amended by Executive Order 11375; Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964; Section 109 of Title 1 of the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974, as amended; Section 3 of the Housing and Urban Development Act of 1968; the Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986; the Davis-Bacon Act; the Copeland Anti Kickback Act; the Contract Work Hours and Safety Standards Act; and Public Law 100 202.
