The New York State Thruway Authority ("Authority") is seeking to retain a qualified engineering firm to perform a variety of statewide pavement management services. The services will mainly include the collection and evaluation of pavement distress images and data in conformance with the Authority's existing pavement surface distress survey. Services may also include, but not be limited to: collecting digital images showing forward, downward and side views of the pavement for the entire roadway; processing data consistent with Authority requirements; collecting, processing and delivering pavement distress data such as fatigue cracking, longitudinal cracking, transverse cracking, raveling, International Roughness Index (IRI), ride quality and rut depth; performing non-destructive testing involving technologies including, but not limited to, Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR), falling weight deflectometer (FWD), and destructive testing including, but not limited to, obtaining and testing pavement cores. Services may also include collecting, processing and delivering data and images of pavement striping, including mobile retro-reflectivity surveys and collection of other roadway data on an as-needed basis. The estimated value of the agreement is $750,000. The duration of this agreement is three years and the Authority shall have the option, in its sole discretion, to extend this agreement for one (1) additional one (1) year term.
