Plans call for the renovation of The Dip area of La Jolla on Prospect Street and Girard Avenue to Silverado Street. Improvements include curb extensions, paving, landscaping, and lighting. Work also includes the conversion of northbound Prospect from Girard to Herschel Avenue as a public pedestrian way and the conversion of southbound Prospect to two-way traffic. This project will be completed in four phases. The renovation at Girard/Wall will be done first, due to funding availability. As of December 21, 2022 this project is in design and seeking funds. A general contractor has not been selected. A timeline for when construction may begin is unavailable.
