For a lump sum Contract are requested for the following work: Roof replacement at UCSD Humanities and Social Sciences (H&SS) building. The work includes preparation for re-roofing including temporary disconnection of existing utilities and removal of HVAC equipment, recover, re-roofing and reinstallation of utilities and equipment. The work also includes structural repair of concrete column. For construction value between $300,000 and $640,000, Bidder and its mechanical, electrical and plumbing subcontractor(s) (if using) shall be qualified under the University's standards prior to award. No contractor or subcontractor, regardless of tier, may be listed on a Bid for, or engage in the performance of, any portion of this project, unless registered with the Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5 and 1771.1. Contractors and subcontractors must use the DIR's upgraded electronic certified payroll reporting (eCPR) system to furnish certified payroll records (CPRs) to the Labor Commissioner. Contractors and subcontractors who have been submitting PDF copies of their CPRs for earlier projects must also begin using the new system. This project is subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the Department of Industrial Relations. The successful Bidder shall pay all persons providing construction services and/or any labor on site, including any University location, no less than the UC Fair Wage (defined as $15 per hour as of 10/1/17) and shall comply with all applicable federal, state and local working condition requirements.
