Chubb Hall is located in the College Green, and houses administrative offices, including Undergraduate Admissions, Bursar, University Registrar, Student Financial Aid and Scholarships, and University College. The Chubb Hall mechanical systems are well beyond their useful life and need replaced. There is a maintenance burden and systems are dilapidated which is why this is considered a critical project. A study was commissioned recently to help determine the scope of the project. The project will involve a complete renovation of the Chubb Hall HVAC systems. This may require occupants to move into swing spaces and shoulder season work in order to accomplish. Existing heating and cooling energy sources will be retained, but significant upgrades to each system will be performed to improve system control and improve efficiency. Upon award of the Agreement, the project will commence with Design. The selected A/E, as a portion of its required Scope of Services and prior to submitting its proposals, will discuss and clarify with the Owner and/or the Contracting Authority, the cost breakdown of the Architect/Engineer Agreement detailed cost components to address the Owner’s project requirements. Participation in the Encouraging Diversity, Growth & Equity (EDGE) Program will be required by statute and the Agreement. As required by the Agreement, and as properly authorized, provide the following categories of services: Program Verification, Schematic Design, Design Development, Construction Document Preparation, Bid and Award Support, Conformed Documents, Construction Administration, Post-Construction, and Additional Services of all types.
