Renovation of an educational facility in Santa Cruz, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
Base Bid: Replacement of the existing gravel driveway and pathway with a combination of Truegrid Pro Plus pavers and Granitecrete permeable paving or approved equals. An accessible pathway will be constructed from the existing accessible parking stalls to the Terrace Point Overlook (also referred to as Overlook B), including a new accessible sidewalk ramp. Work includes a new storm drain inlet and perforated drainage pipe and other miscellaneous items as shown on the drawings. Add Alternate 1 - Safety Bollards: Provide labor and material to install bollard sleeves, bollards, and rope barrier around metal caisson at Overlook B as shown on the drawings. Contract time is estimated at 180 days with on-site work occurring between September 1 and December 1, 2020. Requests for clarification or interpretation of the Bidding Documents must be received by 5:00 PM on Friday, May 29, 2020 shall be addressed in writing only to: Zachary Teske zteske@ucsc.edu For electronically submitted bids, the original signed bid and original bid bond must be received by the university within two (2) business days after the bid deadline. The successful Bidder will be required to have the following California current and active contractor's license at the time of submission of the Bid: A, General Engineering This project is subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the Department of Industrial Relations. The successful Bidder shall pay all persons providing construction services and/or any labor on site, including any University location, no less than the UC Fair Wage (defined as $13 per hour as of 10/1/15, $14 per hour as of 10/1/16, and $15 per hour as of 10/1/17) and shall comply with all applicable federal, state and local working condition requirements.
