The City of Lincoln, hereinafter referred to as Owners, are requesting bids from qualified companies, hereinafter referred to as Vendor(s) for installation of a chemical feed system replacement at the Ashland Water Treatment plant Vendors are strongly encouraged to attach bid bonds to their bid in the Response Attachment section. Original bid bonds are to be mailed to the Purchasing Office within 3 days of bid close. If you must drop off a bid bond, insurance, or other documents, a drop box will be located at the Purchasing Office where there is no exposure to the staff or public. Questions concerning this bid process may be directed to City/County Purchasing at (402) 4418103 or purchasing@lincoln.ne.gov All inquiries regarding these specifications shall be directed via e-mail request to Sharon Mulder, Asst. Purchasing Agent (smulder@lincoln.ne.gov). These inquiries and/or responses shall be distributed to prospective Vendors as an electronic addenda. All inquiries must be submitted to the Purchasing Office 5 days prior to the bid opening. Vendors are not allowed to discuss this bid with any employee, Engineer, Project Manager, or elected official other than the City/County Purchasing Staff through the award process. The Owner reserves the right to reject bids as non-responsive where a General Contractor lists most or all Subcontractor positions as TBD “A virtual pre-bid conference will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 27, 2020. Interested Bidders shall email City Assistant Purchasing Agent (SMulder@lincoln.ne.gov) and request access to the virtual conference by 4:00 p.m. May 21, 2020 in order to be allowed to participate in the virtual conference. Representatives of the Owner and Engineer will be available during the virtual conference to discuss the Project. A limited virtual tour of the site will be conducted by the Engineer for Bidders to view the existing facilities via video conference. Bidders are encouraged to register and attend the virtual pre-bid conference. In response to questions arising at the conference, Addenda will be issued as the City considers necessary. Minutes of the meeting will be distributed as part of an Addendum, but access to the virtual tour will not be provided. Due to COVID-19, access to the Ashland WTF is strictly prohibited and NO in-person walkthroughs will take place.”
