The project is expected to be awarded on June 8, 2020** The City of Galena is requesting quotes for unit prices for a number of work items as detailed on page 2-3 and summarized as follows: 1. Remove and replace sidewalk 2. Remove and replace curb and gutter 3. Remove and replace street surface The City of Galena may select one or more contractors to complete this work as detailed below. Selection will be based on best value unit price. The City of Galena is requesting quotes to complete work detailed below. All work to be in accordance with latest versions of IDOT Standard Specifications for Roads and Bridges, Standard General Conditions of the Construction Contract and City Specifications including Instructions to Bidders and General Requirements (copies available in City Hall). Exact locations for the proposed work is to be decided at a later date. The city reserves the right to award individual items of work to more than one contractor. All work performed under this contract shall be subject to compliance with the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act, including latest revisions and the Illinois Preference Act. Contractors are required to submit certified copies of their payroll. Contractors must comply with the Drug Free Workplace Act (Source: P.A. 86-1459). The City of Galena shall be exempt from any liability for costs incurred by unsuccessful bidders in preparation for this proposal. The City of Galena will make payment within thirty (30) days after acceptance of the work. The City of Galena reserves the right to reject any or all quotes.
