The improvements for which bids will be received are described as follows: The work to be completed under this Contract consists of improvements to Fish Park and includes, but is not limited to, clearing and grubbing, demolition, grading, hot mix asphalt, cement concrete sidewalk, curb and gutter, curb ramp, boardwalks, chain link fence, modular block wall, foundations, footings, topsoil, seeding, planting, and temporary traffic control. All work shall be performed in accordance with the Contract Plans, these Contract Provisions, and the Standard Specifications. All bid proposals shall be accompanied by a proposal guarantee (certified or cashier s check or approved bond) payable to the City of Poulsbo in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the proposal price. Should the successful bidder fail to enter into such contract and furnish satisfactory performance bond within the time stated in the specifications, the bid proposal deposit shall be forfeited to the City of Poulsbo. The City of Poulsbo reserves the right to waive informalities in the bidding, accept a Proposal of the lowest responsible Bidder, reject any or all Bids, republish the Call for Bids, revise or cancel the work, or require the work to be done in another way if the best interest of the City is served. The Engineer s estimated range for this project is as follows: Base Bid Schedule A is between $600,000 and $700,000, Additive Schedule B is between $8,000 and $12,000, Additive Schedule C is between $25,000 and $30,000, Additive Schedule D 3 is between $25,000 and $30,000.
