The project consists of the installation and construction of approximately 5,700 LF of 6" PVC forcemain, together with 5,700 LF of 12" PVC Reclaimed water line, along the west side of the North Courtenay Parkway right-of-way (FDOT right-of-way). Most installation will be accomplished via standard excavation; however some locations require Direct Bore installation with up-sized HDPE pipe. The work includes utility installation, excavation, dewatering, backfill and right-of-way restoration in conformance with the project permits and the Contract Documents. All questions must be received in writing prior to 5:00 p.m. on July 9, 2020. No bid shall be considered unless sealed and filed with the Purchasing Services Office at the address specified, no later than the time set forth above. The official time clock will be the date and time stamp clock located in the Purchasing Office. Each bid must be accompanied by a Bidder's Bond, payable to Brevard County, Florida for five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid; to be forfeited as liquidated damages in the event that the bid is accepted and the bidder fails to enter promptly into a written contract and furnish the required Performance Bond, Payment Bond, and Insurance Certificates. Bids arriving after the designated time will be returned unopened. No bids shall be withdrawn for a period of thirty (30) days after the opening of bids. Brevard County reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive minor irregularities in the bids.
