Renovation of a conference / convention center in San Rafael, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a conference / convention center.
The project consists of full replacement of an Air Handling Unit in a fully occupied building; temporary heating and cooling, during construction, are required as part of the project. The project entails all work related to demo and removal of existing fan in air handling unit (AHU) #3 and replacement with a new fan array. The fan array will be sized with N+1 redundancy so that if any single fan module were to fail, the remaining fans in the array could satisfy the full airflow for the system. Remove and replace additional items as noted in the plans and specifications, including, but not limited to controls, electrical, and plumbing elements. Includes building, commissioning, balancing and testing of the new AHU within the mechanical room. The Engineer's estimated cost for the accomplishment of this work is $273,000. Bids are required for the entire work described herein.
