Site work for a bridge / tunnel in Santa Cruz, California. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel.
The District proposes to dig out two damaged CMPs and replace with new 18" CMPs. The project will involve excavation of the levee prism with a 4:1 (H:V) cut slope along the length of the levee deep enough to excavate and replace the failed CMPs. Approximately 225 and 208 cubic yards of material will be excavated at Sites 1 and 2, respectively. The location for stockpiling and storage will be on privately-owned parcel 051-191-17 for Site 1 and on the adjacent bench OHW for Site 2. Once the pipe is installed, the levee will be reconstructed per USACE requirements and under observation of a geotechnical engineer. Liquidated Damages:$1,000.00 Per Calendar Day. Bid Bond Percentage:10%. Project Duration: 25 Work Days. Pre-Qualification for Bidders: Not Required. Project Location: The project is located at the following two separate sites along the Salsipuedes Creek levee bank: Site 1: Salsipuedes Creek Right Bank Levee Station 127+44 36.93377, -121.74138 Site 2: Salsipuedes Creek Right Bank Levee Station 74+45 36.92336, -121.73311 Complete the plant establishment is complete before October 15th following construction.
