The Village of Winnetka is accepting bids from properly qualified firms to provide all labor, equipment, and materials necessary to install a prefabricated transformer fire wall. The Village of Winnetka operates a municipal electric system and intends to expand an existing substation. The required services include the construction of the foundation, coordinating delivery and installation of the transformer fire wall. The installation of a transformer fire wall which includes; the construction of the foundation per the Engineer's specification and the installation of the prefabricated transformer firewall on the foundation The Village owns a 138kV:12.47kV substation located in Northfield, Illinois. The existing substation is served by a singled 138kV:12.47kV transformer and connected to the 15Kv distribution system. Winnetka has plans to install a second substation transformer in 2021. In preparation for the second transformer, the Village plans to install a transformer fire wall between both locations
