**As of September 18, 2020, project was awarded to Granite Construction Co. for $6,073,995.70. Work consists of the rehabilitation of approximately 8,827 linear feet of Merrill Field Drive. Work includes removal of existing pavement, demolition, unclassified excavation, dynamic compaction of soil and landfill waste, furnishing and installing approximately 53,700 tons of classified fill, furnishing and installing leveling course, paving 3,310 tons of hot mix asphalt, sidewalk and curb ramp improvements, street lighting, apron lighting, fiber optic, signage, and other related work. Funds for this Project are subject to the receipt of a FAA grant. If sufficient funds are not received, this project shall be canceled at no cost to the Municipality. It is the responsibility of the bidder to prepare the bid so that all materials and/or fittings shall harmoniously conform to the intent of the Contract Drawings, Specifications, and Special provisions. All Work under this contract shall be substantially complete by October 1, 2022 and performed in accordance with time restrictions for each Work Area given on the Construction Safety and Phasing Plan Drawings. Final acceptance of the Work shall be within 30 days of substantial completion. Notice to Proceed is anticipated to be on or about September 1, 2020. No ground disturbing work on schedules shall be performed prior to May 15, 2021. Bidders are hereby alerted that this Project, MOA, Merrill Field Airport - 2020 Merrill Field Airport Improvements Rehabilitate Primary Access Road is subject to a Community Workforce Agreement (CWA). It shall be understood that the CWA is an exclusive agreement between the eventual Contractor and the organized labor unions. The MOA (also known as Owner), the Engineer, and the Design Professionals of Record are not members of this agreement and play no role in its implementation or administration. Bidders may contact the trades council with any questions pertaining to the provisions of the CWA, covered trades and crafts, or the specific manner in which their involvement in the CWA will be administered (Title 7, Section 7.15.045F). For a copy of each current labor agreement contact the respective unions to obtain. No portion of the attached CWA be changed without agreement by both the Contractor and the Trades Council. The Owner may withhold from any progress payment the sums listed below as Liquidated Damages for each and every calendar day that the Substantial Completion Date is delayed beyond the Contract Completion Date.
