The Glades County Board of County Commissioners (BoCC) requests that interested parties submit formal sealed proposals for the above-referenced project. The BoCC Request for Proposals (RFP) is seeking proposals from qualified Proposers for construction of the Harney Pond Observation Tower located at The Harney Pond Recreation Area (Margaret Van De Velde Park) in accordance with the specifications and conditions contained in the RFP package. The BoCC reserves the right to withdraw and cancel this invitation at any time, without liability to any Proposers or prospective Proposers. The BoCC reserves the right to retain all proposals submitted and to use any ideas in a proposal regardless of whether that proposal is selected. Proposals received after such time will not be accepted and will be returned unopened. Proposals delayed for any reason shall not be considered. Faxed and electronically mailed proposals will not be accepted. All costs and expenses related to the preparation and submission of a proposal are the sole responsibility of the Proposers. All prospective Proposers are cautioned not to contact any member of the BoCC or County employees except for the County Manager. The County also reserves the right to waive irregularities and technicalities, to readvertise for additional proposals, and to select the Proposer(s), who, in the BoCC's sole opinion, is in the best interests of Glades County.
