The project also includes civil site work, concrete, paving, electrical, sewer, and water. Approximate award date 09/01/2020 12:00 AM The bid submittal must be accompanied by a Bid Bond made payable to Cumberland County, for an amount equal to 5% of the total base bid price as a guarantee that, if the bid is accepted, the required Agreement will be executed and that a 100% Performance Bond and 100% Payment Bond will be furnished. Bidders must be licensed contractors in the State of North Carolina at the time a bid is submitted. Pursuant to N.C.G.S. S87-15, it will be necessary for contractors to show evidence of such license in the bid submittal The bidder shall make good faith efforts, as defined in bid specification Section 004113.03, to subcontract 15% of the dollar value of the single prime contract to businesses owned and controlled by minorities. Bidders are required to submit, along with the bid, information concerning minority business enterprises which will participate in the contract. A bid which fails to meet these requirements may be considered nonresponsive.
