Lowhill Township, Lehigh County, will receive sealed bids for the Bear Road Bridge Scour Repair Project. Clarification Deadline: 9/14/2020 3:00 PM The project for which Bids are being solicited is subject to the applicable provisions of the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act. Each Bid must be accompanied by bid security payable to Lowhill Township, Lehigh County, in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the bid price in the form of a Certified Check, Bank Check, or a Bid Bond issued by a surety meeting the requirements of Article 5 of the General Conditions. When the Successful Bidder delivers the executed Agreement to Owner, it must be accompanied by the required performance and payment Bonds in the forms included in the Contract Documents. All Work will be completed within Sixty (60) calendar days from the date when the Contract Time commences to run as provided in Paragraph 2.03 of the General Conditions. Accordingly, instead of requiring any such proof, Owner and Contractor agree that as liquidated damages for delay (but not as a penalty), Contractor shall pay Owner Five Hundred and 00/100 dollars ($500.00) for each day that expires after the time specified in Paragraph 3.1 for completion and readiness for final payment. Owner reserves the right to accept or reject any or all Bids and to accept any Bid which in its judgment is in the best interest of the Owner. No Bid will be accepted if obtained from sources other than the issuing office noted above.
