Southern 6600 linear feet of SW Birley Ave Full depth reclamation, resurfacing and widening an existing 20' asphaltic paved road section to 22' wide and placement of new asphalt pavement in two layers: 1) structural (165lbs/sy) and 2) surface (137.5lbs/sy). For approximately 6600 LF, or 1.25 miles. Northern 3800 linear feet of SW Birley Ave Milling and Resurfacing of a rural section of 22' wide (2 - 11' travel lanes) and placement of new asphalt pavement in two layers: 1) structural (165lbs/sy) and 2) surface (137.5lbs/sy) of approximately 3800 LF, or 0.72 miles of length. CR 252W (SW Pinemount Ave Milling existing travel lanes and resurfacing with 137.5 lbs/sy asphaltic pavement, widening existing roadway section at signal by constructing 12' lane, (8" limerock base, and placement of new asphalt pavement in two layers: 1) structural (165lbs/sy) and 2) surface (137.5lbs/sy), and miscellaneous signalization items. Scope of work includes limerock, widening, mixing, grading, asphaltic concrete pavement, stormwater piping, erosion control, grassing, painted pavement markings, constructing vehicle loops, repair loop windows, install 5% section signal (provided by County), and incidental items. Deadline for questions regarding construction plans, specifications, and/or bid documents must be received before 2:00 P.M. on September 4, 2020. The successful bidder will be required to furnish the County Manager with a 5% bid bond with submittal, and if selected, furnish the County Manager with a performance bond and proof of liability insurance prior to commencing work. The Columbia County Commission reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to add to the contract or delete from the contract to stay within their funding capabilities.
