Project duration is 240 calendars days. Notice to Proceed is anticipated to be issued last week of September. Project Consists of make ready work for a future/separate project to renovate the existing 7th floor of East Wing Tower into a neurological suite and reactivating 20 beds. This make ready project is approximately 8,030 sq. ft. and includes the entire floor with the exception of the north east corner which is currently the EEG department. This project includes Demolition, Abatement, Fire Proofing Removal, Fireproofing Application, Metal Stud Framing, Backing & Supports for Furniture/Equipment, Nurse call System, Temporary Fire Alarm System, Permanent Fire Alarm System, and Fire sprinklers. Bid Security in the amount of 10% of the Lump Sum Base Bid, excluding alternates, shall accompany each Bid. The Surety issuing the Bid Bond shall be, on the Bid Deadline, an admitted surety insurer (as defined in California Code of Civil Procedure Section 995.120). The successful Bidder will be required to have the following California current and active contractor's license at the time of submission of the Bid: B - General Building. No contractor or subcontractor, regardless of tier, may be listed on a Bid for, or engage in the performance of, any portion of this project, unless registered with the Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5 and 1771.1. This project is subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the Department of Industrial Relations.
