Renovation of an educational facility in Sacramento, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
Project scope includes but is not limited to demolition and regrading of the landscape area and replacement of the irrigation system, plantings and regrading. Project scope also includes demolition of an existing marquee sign and relocation of a monument sign as shown in the project documents for a complete and operational project. Work to be performed during normal business hours. Engineer's Estimate is $250,000. The successful bidder and all subcontractor(s) shall comply with all applicable Labor Code provisions, which include, but are not limited to, the payment of not less than the required prevailing rates to all workers employed by them in the execution of the Contract, the employment of apprentices, the hours of labor and the debarment of contractors and subcontractors. Each Bidder submitting a bid must be a Department of Industrial Relations registered contractor pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5 ("DIR Registered Contractor") unless an exception expressly provided in the Labor Code applies. This project is subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the DIR. If awarded the Contract, at all times during performance of the work, the Bidder and all Subcontractors of any tier shall be DIR Registered Contractors and continue to comply with all DIR requirements. In accordance with Division of the State Architect (DSA) Bulletin BU 24-05, all bidders are hereby notified that the awarded contractor must develop and submit a Site Safety Plan (SSP) during the contract execution phase. The SSP shall be updated as necessary to reflect the final project conditions before submission to DSA. The failure to provide an SSP in accordance with BU 24-05 will result in rejection of the DSA Form 102-IC. Bidders should account for this requirement when preparing their bid submissions. This Contract is subject to prequalification pursuant to Public Contract Code section 20111.6. Disabled Veteran Contractors are encouraged to submit bids. This bid is subject to Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise requirements. Each bidder shall be a licensed contractor pursuant to the Business and Professions Code and shall be licensed in the following classifications: CLASS "B". No bid will be accepted from a contractor who has not been licensed in accordance with the California Business and Profession Code at the time the bid is submitted. All forms must be completed, signed, and returned with the bid. No bidder may withdraw its bid for a period of sixty (60) calendar days after the date set for the receipt of bids. The successful bidder shall file a payment bond issued by an admitted Surety authorized to conduct business in the State of California approved by the District. A performance bond will also be required. The District reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to accept or reject any one or more items of a bid, or to waive any irregularities or informalities in the bid or in the bidding process.
