Question Deadline 08/15/2025 at 5:00 PM PT Online Q&A Yes. This solicitation is to obtain qualified contractor(s) to provide SMUD with Electrical Construction Projects. Services are needed by approximately September 1, 2025, and the resulting contract(s) will run for five (5) years. SMUD intends to award one or more contract(s) to the lowest evaluated Bidders as a result of this solicitation. The work to be performed under the resulting contract(s) shall be in the form of individual Purchase Orders. Services will be for a wide variety of electrical construction activities in support of the Facilities Management Business Unit. The Contractor shall furnish all project management, supervision, labor, materials, tools, equipment, and incidentals necessary to accomplish the work in accordance with the Contract. The work generally consists of various electrical, construction and design support, and associated work at SMUD's various facilities during normal business hours. This is a task bonded contract, and the Contractor shall provide estimates per the TC's to make additions, changes, and renovations to various SMUD facilities sites and buildings, including obtaining any necessary permits. The following is a partial list of the various types of work that will be needed: Design, engineering, fabrication, assembly, wiring, testing, installation, programming, and equipment start up for electrical and telecommunications work as the task requires. The contractor shall furnish and be responsible for all material, labor, and other services required providing a fully operational system or equipment installed The Contractor shall provide estimates and make additions and changes to various SMUD facilities, including obtaining any necessary permits. Unless otherwise specified, all designs, plans, and specifications will be prepared by either SMUD facilities staff or SMUD contracted design professionals. The Contractor will be furnished appropriate documentation for each separate task, and the Contractor will review them with SMUD's designated representative and any changes after initial acceptance must be coordinated and accepted by SMUD. The contractor may be required to obtain permits if necessary, with SMUD paying for them on a direct pass through. SMUD Security will require background checks and badging by SMUD of the Contractor's supervisory personnel, and work in critical areas may require such for workers.
