Site work and paving for a road / highway in Sumner, Washington. Conceptual plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
This project will widen E Valley Highway between Lakeland Hills Way and Terrace View Drive SE, approximately 0.6 miles. The roadway will have a four/five lane cross section with a trail connection along the east side. Other project elements include storm improvements, illumination and ITS. The project will provide congestion relief along the corridor and provide access for non-motorized users. This project was identified as a recommended project in WSDOT's SR167 Master Plan Study. The project is included in the City's 2026-2030 Capital Improvement Program (CIP). As of October 18, 2025, further details have not yet been identified. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly.
