The Project consists of structural repairs and stream maintenance for the East Stiegel Street bridge in Manheim Borough. Bids will be received for a single prime Contract. Bids shall be on a lump sum and unit price basis. Bid Security in the amount of 10% of the Bid amount, the Workmen's Compensation Affidavit, Public Works Employment Verification Form and a Non-Collusion Affidavit must accompany the Bid in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders Bids shall remain open for a period of 60 days from the date of Bid opening. Bids may not be withdrawn during this period. The successful Bidder shall be required to furnish performance and payment bonds in the amount of 100% of the Contract Price in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. Bids received in any other way other than via the online PennBid Program will be rejected. Manheim Borough hereby reserves the right to reject any and/or all bids submitted or any part thereof or item therein. The Owner also reserves the right to waive any defects, errors, omissions, irregularities, or informalities in bids received. This work is the furnishing and installation of fabricated structural steel for repairs to Beam 6/13 and the proper removal and disposal of existing steel as indicated.
