It is the intent of this proposal invitation to obtain contract proposals for the gutter and downspout replacement projects for all the Onslow County Board of Education's Subsidiaries, Institutions, and Schools on an as needed basis. Each project will vary depending on the specific requirements of the individual project, this is to include all small and large projects. This contract may be extended, at the option of Onslow County Schools, for an additional period of three (3) years, renewable every year. No minimum or maximum gutter and downspout repair and replacement projects or volumes are implied or guaranteed herein. While it is not contemplated that any abnormal requirements will develop, however, if such should occur, Onslow County Schools reserves the right to call for separate proposals. NO Bid Bonds or Performance Bonds will be required for this project as the Terms and Conditions might require. Insurance certificates are required as the Terms and Conditions require. The project will be complete within thirty (30) days from date of award of projects. WORK TO BE PERFORMED: a. Contractors are responsible for their own measurements and calculations that they may need to bid and complete this project as required by this specification b. All work shall be done in strict accordance with this specification and all Federal, State, and Local regulations, standards and codes. c. Gutter profiles are to match existing profile and color unless changed by owner. d. If gutter is attached in a way that deems it necessary to remove any existing Coping metal, EPDM, TPO Facia, a linear price will be needed for each individual item for removal and replacement of that item with gutter, downspout reinstallation. c. Replace gutters and downspouts with .040 mil thick kynar finished aluminum (color and profile to match existing gutters and downspouts). Specific locations to be identified by maintenance personnel. d. Repair all EPDM areas that would be affected by gutter removal. e. All gutters, downspouts shall be prepainted aluminum. f. Form gutters in 10ft lengths except where shorter lengths are required. g. Gutter splashguards to be installed at every inside, outside corner. h. Lap joints are to secured with rivets and seal. i. Attach downspouts to the walls with painted straps at 12ft maximum, 2 per downspout. j. Supply splash blocks where there aren't any for downspouts. Splash blocks shall be new precast concrete 11" wide by 30" long. k. If there is underground drainage for downspouts, reconnect to drainage pipe.
