General was awarded to JP Environmental LLC in the amount of $739,000.00 Electrical was awarded to Genesis electric in the amount of $411,282.00 --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- TOTAL AWARD AMOUNT: $1,150,282.00 Installation of new mixers in the aerobic digester tanks. Modification of existing aeration manifolds in the aerobic digester tanks to accommodate new mixers. Installation of variable frequency drives (VFDs) and new check valves on the plant blowers. Installation of a control system for regulation of airflow to each aerobic digester and contact/stabilization tank, including instrumentation, valving, and process control. Installation of a new Motor Control Center (MCC). Modifications to the south wall of the blower room to accommodate new equipment, including removal of the existing window and relocation of the existing door. The project will include an upgrade to the existing aeration system to allow plant staff to control the dissolved oxygen (DO) concentration in each tank. The three plant blowers will be retrofitted with VFDs, and the existing check valves will be replaced. DO sensors will be installed in each of the aerobic digester and contact/stabilization tanks. Air flow sensors and control valves will be installed on the air supply line to each tank to allow for individual tank airflow rate adjustment. A third-party process control system will be installed that will vary the blower speed using the VFDs and balance airflow to each tank using the automated valves. New mixers will be installed in the digester tanks to improve process efficiency. The existing aerobic digester manifolds will be modified to accommodate the mixers, and a new purge sump assembly will be installed on each aerobic digester manifold. A new MCC will be installed. To accommodate the new MCC and to allow for the transition of equipment from the old MCC to the new unit, the south wall of the blower room will be modified. Modifications will include relocation of the existing double door and removal of the existing window. The Mon Valley Sewage Authority reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids and to waive any informality in any bids should it consider same to be in its best interest. Bids may not be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after date of receiving bids. The Owner has current Pennsylvania sales tax exemption status, which applies only to those items for which an exemption may be claimed under applicable State Sales and Use Tax Regulation.
