Site work and paving for a civil project in Lexington, Tennessee. Completed plans call for site work for a pipeline; road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
**As of October 27, 2020, This project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for award is by next week. CONTRACT A: (Identified as "Line A" and "Line B" in the plan set; from Huron to near Hwy 412 on Crucifer Rd.):The furnishing and installing of approximately 41,210 linear feet of 6-inch diameter, 4710 HDPE gas main, approximately 1,250 linear feet of 6-inch diameter, 4710 HDPE gas main by directional drill under roadways, driveways, etc., approximately 300 linear feet of 6-inch diameter, 4710 HDPE gas main in 12" dia. PE casing pipe by directional bore under stream and/or roadway, and appurtenances including polyvalves, detection tape, tracer wire, backfill, tie-ins, plain stone rip-rap, restoration, gravel drive restoration, soil erosion control measures, traffic control, and all other appurtenances and other work as shown on the Construction Drawings or indicated in the Contract Specifications. CONTRACT B: (Identified as "Line C" in the plan set) The furnishing and installing of approximately 6,680 linear feet of 6-inch diameter, 4710 HDPE gas main, approximately 125 linear feet of 6-inch diameter, 4710 HDPE gas main by directional drill under roadways, driveways, etc., and appurtenances including polyvalves, detection tape, tracer wire, backfill, tie-ins, plain stone rip-rap, restoration, gravel drive restoration, soil erosion control measures, traffic control, and all other appurtenances and other work as shown on the Construction Drawings or indicated in the Contract Specifications. This project has a requirement that the "Contract A - Line B" section from Huron to Sand Ridge Road and the entire "Contract B - Line C" section of the project shall be installed first. Subject to the provisions of Chapter 6 of Title 62 of the Tennessee Codes Annotated, the Contractor's attention is directed to the Tennessee Codes Annotated Section 62-6-119 which states that it will be necessary for each bidder and their subcontractors to show evidence of a license before his bid will be considered and that the license number, expiration date, and that part of classification applying to the bid appear on the envelope containing the bid; otherwise the bid shall not be opened. The City of Lexington reserves the right to reject any Proposal for failure to comply with all requirements of the notice or of any of the Contract Documents; however, it may waive any minor defects or informalities at its discretion. The City of Lexington further reserves the right to reject all Proposals.
