Reference Number AB-2020-05002 Source ID APC Alberta Environment and Parks (AEP) requires consulting services to investigate the feasibility of potential water storage options on the Bow River upstream of the City of Calgary. . Phase 1, the Bow River Reservoir Options (BRRO) Conceptual Assessment, identified three reservoir options that could potentially provide the necessary flood and drought mitigation along the Bow River upstream of Calgary: a new Morley reservoir, a new Glenbow reservoir, and expanding the Ghost Reservoir. Building on the work completed in the Conceptual Assessment, the BRRO Feasibility Study (Phase 2) will assess the technical requirements and costs of these three options with the intent of determining and recommending the best option to proceed to final design and regulatory approval (Phase 3). This project includes public and Indigenous engagement. Only for pre-qualified proponents under the major dam and reservoir projects category of the pre-qualification for prime consultants on water management and Alberta environmental projects list The method of contractor selection has not been determined at this time.
