For Water System Improvements - CDBG Project consisting of two Schedules of Work. Schedule One consists of 4,000 lineal feet (LF) of 6" PVC water mains; 1,013 LF of 4" PVC water mains; 37 LF of 3" PVC water mains; 24 LF of PVC water mains; 9,372 LF of 8" PVC water transmission lines; 838 LF of 6" HDPE directional drilling; 235 LF of 12" steel bore and jacking casing pipe; 49 - 8", 6" and 4" valves; 3 fire hydrant assemblies; remove and reinstall an existing fire hydrant assembly; remove and salvage two fire hydrant assemblies; four 4" post hydrant assemblies; 35 - 34" water service taps; 450 LF of 34" service line; connections to the existing water distribution system; installation of a 1-inch entry point sample yard hydrant assembly and piping; 196 LF of flowable fill installed around new water mains; new chlorination building consisting of 10' x 10' fiberglass reinforced building, concrete foundation, internal piping, chlorine feed system, shelves, pressure gauges, heating, ventilation, electrical, site work, yard piping, flow meters, electrical control and power conductors and conduits; 7 combination air vacuum relief valve assemblies inside 6' diameter manhole; 5' ID manhole housing new well meter; 5' ID manhole housing altitude valve; 5 locking mini tracer wire test boxes; 8 carsonite marker posts; 9 square yards (SY) of 3" thick hot bituminous pavement; seeding; and equipment consisting of chlorination feed system, soda ash feed system, 4" magmeter and 4" pressure reducing valve. Schedule 2 consists of the installation of a new Arkansas Valley Well including 44' deep well with 12" bore hole, 20 LF of 8" well casing and 19 LF of 8" well screen; well development, 24-hour pump test, installation of new submersible motor, drop pipe, electrical and pitless adapter together with appurtenances and incidentals of construction A certified check or bank draft, payable to the order of the Town of Boone (Owner) negotiable U.S. Government bonds (at par value) or a satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the Bidder and an acceptable surety in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total Bid shall be submitted with each Bid.Attention is called to the fact that not less than the minimum salaries and wages as set forth in the Contract Documents must be paid on this project, and that the Contractor must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, color, religion, sex, or national origin. Bidders shall note that funding for this project is being made available, in part, through a Community Development Block Grant. The requirements associated with this funding source include, but are not limited to, provisions for Davis Bacon wages that set forth the minimum salaries and wages within the contract documents that must be paid on the project.
