Renovation of a detention facility in Dixon, Illinois. Completed plans call for the renovation of a detention facility.
Electrical Contractor shall demolish existing power panel and wiring to equipment and provide a new power panel and wiring for the new pumps and cooling tower fan. Work includes new conduit, wiring, starters, breakers, and other associated electrical components for a complete system. ELECTRICAL under $100,000 Contractors will be required to enter into a Project Labor Agreement for the duration of the project. Minority, Female & Veteran Business Subcontractor/Supplier Participation is Applicable Bidders must be prequalified with CDB; allow 45 days for application processing. Bid security must be submitted with each bid equal to 10% of the base bid and must be in the form of a CDB bid bond, certified check, cashier's check or bank draft. Heating Contractor shall be the Coordinating Contractor responsible for all work other than the electrical work. Asbestos containing materials have been identified. Heating Contractor will need to provide a certified abatement specialist to remove identified materials. Demolition will include existing absorptionchiller and associated pumps and cooling tower. Provide new absorption chiller, chilled water pump and tower water pump in the mechanical room and new cooling tower on the roof. Work includes associatedcontrols, piping and insulation. Replace roof over the mechanical room, access ladder and railing, and brickwork
