Pre-Qualification for Bidders: Not Required License Type Required: A- General Engineering Contractor Contractor shall require and verify that all subcontractors maintain insurance meeting all the requirements stated herein, and Contractor shall ensure that the City of Santa Cruz, its officers, officials, employees, agents, and volunteers, are additional insureds on insurance required from subcontractors. For CGL coverage subcontractors shall provide coverage with a format least as broad as CG 20 38 04 13. (*Insurance requirements may be modified for subcontractors depending on the scope of work and degree of risk involved). Attention is directed to the provisions in Section 8 (Commencement of Work, Time of Completion and Liquidated Damages) of the Standard Specifications and these General Conditions. The Contractor shall diligently prosecute the work to completion before December 18, 2020. Full compensation for any additional costs occasioned by compliance with the provisions in this section shall be considered as included in the prices paid for the various contract items of work and no additional compensation will be allowed therefore. The work to be done, in general, consists of replacing the sewer main between manholes N7- SM603 and N7-SM601 by horizontal directional drilling, abandoning manhole N7-SM609, N7- SM601 and N7-SM603, constructing new manholes N7-SM623 and N7-SM624, installing pipe adapters, replacement and reconnection of residential sanitary sewer laterals and restoration of surrounding pavement. The Contractor shall submit a construction schedule for the work. The City shall have review authority over said schedule. The contractor shall provide all labor, materials, tools, equipment, and services required for the complete and proper execution of all the work as shown on the drawings and/or outlined in these specifications. Work shall include items not specifically mentioned herein or noted on plans but necessary to make a complete working installation of all systems shown or described herein.
