The construction projects authorized under the Job Order Contracting program will vary in size and complexity, and may involve minor demolition, repair, modification and maintenance of existing roadways and infrastructure located within Santa Clara County. Q & A deadline: Oct 27, 2020 7:00:00 PM EDT Notice is hereby given that the County of Santa Clara (County) has determined that all Contractors for future Job Order Contracting (JOC) contracted projects for the Roads and Airports Department with a minimum total contract of $50,000 and a maximum of total contract of $3,000,000 must be prequalified prior to submitting a proposal. The County intends to use the list of pre-qualified contractors for current and future JOC Contracts for a period of one year from the date of the establishment of the Qualified Proposers List. It is mandatory that all Contractors who intend to submit a proposal must first be approved by the County to be on the Qualified Proposer List. Proposals for JOC Contracts during the stated time period will only be accepted from proposers on the County's Qualified Proposers List unless the County chooses to do an additional Prequalification process issued to the contracting community at large. This Job Order Contract (JOC) is an indefinite quantity contract pursuant to which the Contractor will perform a variety of projects, consisting of specific construction tasks, at various locations within the County. This JOC Contract is for road maintenance repair and other repetitive related work to be performed for the County of Santa Clara Roads and Airports Department. The scope of Work for this Contract will be determined by the Detailed Scope of Work issued in connection with individual Job Orders. The Contractor furnishes all management, documentation, labor, materials, and equipment needed to perform the work. Pursuant to Public Contract Code section 20155.4(b)(1), the County has entered into a Countywide Project Labor Agreement (PLA) with the Santa Clara and San Benito Counties Buildings and Trade Council, that binds all contractors and subcontractors performing work to use a skilled and trained workforce. A copy of the PLA Agreement is attached to the Prequalification Package. The Contractor/Employer(s) shall have the right to reject any applicant refened by the Union(s), in accordance with the applicable Master Agreement.
