The original solicitation follows below. __________________________________________________ Scope of Work: Seminole County Leisure Services Department is seeking a contractor to provide labor, materials and equipment necessary to construct three separate sections of boardwalk along the Saint Johns River for the Black Bear Wilderness Area trails located at 5298 Michigan Ave. Sanford, FL 32771. This project shall include, but is not limited to transporting material, constructing boardwalks in a safe and professional manner, ensure the safety of the public during construction, preserve natural elements adjacent to construction area and to protect the natural water way from debris and sediment. The work consists of all items as indicated within the Scope of Services, attached design, technical specifications and contract documents. Note: This is a remote site where there will be no vehicle access. Construction access will be via the St. Johns River and heavy equipment in the wetlands will not be permitted. Minimum Qualifications: Contractor must possess an active General Contractor License, be in business for at least (3) years and have completed at least (3) similar projects based on the Scope of Services within the last (5) years, and met or exceed all other requirements listed within this Solicitation and Scope of Services. Completion Time: Work must be substantially complete with ninety (90) days from issued Notice to Proceed (NTP) and must reach final completion thirty (30) days after substantial completion. Important note to prospective bidders: Access to the project area requires a 4 mile round trip hike over wet, muddy and uneven terrain. The St. Johns River is currently experiencing high water levels, increasing the likelihood of wildlife encounters. No restrooms are available on site.
