As of April 27 the project was awarded to Terra Engineering & Construction Corp for $1,390,000 and Johnson Controls Inc for $46,000. Project work includes extending central campus utilities east of the building underneath East Campus Mall/Murray Street into the building. Connections for high-pressure steam, pumped condensate return, and compressed air will be made in utility pit #14.2-13 and extended through a new concrete box conduit. Chilled water supply and return will connect to direct buried lines running north-south, located west of the utility pit and extended into the building. A new pressure reducing valve (PRV) will be installed and the boilers will be removed and replaced with a steam to hot water converter. The chillers and cooling towers will be removed and a new plate heat exchanger will be installed for each of the two chilled water systems connected to central campus utilities. Bid Guarantee in the amount of 10% of the Bid must accompany each bid submitted. SECURITY FOR SEPARATE 100% PERFORMANCE AND SEPARATE 100% PAYMENT Bidder is required to furnish separate 100 % performance and 100 % payment bonds to the benefit of the Department of Administration as the sole obligee. These bonds shall be delivered to the State with the signed contract. The Surety Company shall be licensed to do business in Wisconsin. The Bond must be dated the same date or subsequent to the date of the Contract.
