Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Downers Grove, Illinois. Completed plans call for paving for a road / highway; for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; road / highway; and water / sewer project.

As of January 19 the project was awarded to A Lamp Concrete Contractors Inc for $4,068,833.52. Installation of 6,500+ linear feet of storm sewer (various diameters) and 1,200 linear feet of 12" water main; Excavation for detention pond; Full depth pavement removal, patching, and resurfacing; Sidewalk, curb and gutter, and driveway removal and replacement; Ditch grading, restoration, and planting. The project shall generally consist of the following: Installation of soil erosion and sediment control practices, as called out on the plans.Construction of a new proposed storm sewer system on Downers Drive, Janet Street, Belle Aire Lane, Seeley Avenue, Virginia Street, Drove Avenue, and Venard Road.Construction of new concrete box culvert on Downers Drive. Full depth pavement removal and patching. Pavement resurfacing Sidewalk, curb and gutter, and driveway removal and replacement as called out on plans. Aggregate shoulder, type B, installation, as required on the plans. Re-shaping the ditches to flow towards proposed inlets where specified on the plans. Grading, restoration, and planting for proposed detention basin east of Belle Aire Lane near Virginia Street All other collateral work such as turf restoration. A bid deposit will be required, which shall not exceed ten percent (10%) of the estimated cost of the work to be furnished. Such bid deposit shall be in the form of a bid bond, certified check, cash or money order. Checks shall be drawn upon a bank of good standing payable to the order of the Village and said deposit shall be forfeited to the Village in the event the Bidder neglects or refuses to enter into a contract and bond when required, with approved sureties, to execute the Work or furnish the material for the price mentioned in his Bid and according to the plans and specifications in case the contract shall be awarded to him. All prospective bidders/respondents are hereby cautioned not to contact any member of the village of downers grove staff or officials other than the specified contact person. The village council reserves the right to accept or reject any and all bids/proposals, to waive technicalities and to accept or reject any item of any bid/proposal. This project shall consist of the installation of approximately 100 LF of 6" DIP, 1,605 LF of 12" DIP installation of 15 residential waterservices, asphalt patching, PCC sidewalk and driveway apron removal and replacement, parkway restoration.
