Site work for a civil project in Fishers Island, New York. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
**As of February 11, 2021, the project has not been awarded. A timeline for the award is not yet determined.** The Project consists of constructing a new septic system at the existing Firehouse at 250 Athol-Crescent on Fishers Island, in preparation for the construction of a proposed building addition, and the abandonment of the existing system. Bids will be received for a single prime Contract. Bids shall be on a lump sum and unit price basis, with additive alternate bid items as indicated in the Bid Form. A pre-bid conference will not be held. Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Set Aside: No Contract term: 90 Days The Contractor shall provide all labor, material, and equipment necessary to complete the installation of the proposed septic system including, precast concrete Gallery Units, two compartment precast concrete Septic Tank, precast concrete Grease Trap and distribution piping as depicted on the plan approved by the Suffolk County Department of Health Services (SCDHS). The Contractor shall provide all labor, material, and equipment necessary to abandon the existing Septic System in accordance with SCDHS requirements, and shall provide all information required for completion of Form WWM-080. The Contractor shall remove, dispose of, and replace, in accordance with the specifications, all bituminous pavement, bituminous curbing, and concrete sidewalks as required to complete the Septic System Installation. The Contractor shall coordinate all work with the Fire District to maintain access to the Truck Bay. A minimum of 48 hours' notice is required for any work that will impact access to emergency equipment. Payment for the work described in the specifications shall be paid as a Lump Sum under the attached FORM OF GENERAL BID. All work shall comply with Federal, State, and Local Laws and Regulations. The Contractor shall provide the Engineer with cut sheets of the new tank and monitoring system to be used on the project.
