Weber Basin Water Conservancy District (WBWCD) will be removing and replacing an existing irrigation line at the base of Wanship Dam (Rockport Reservoir) located in Wanship, Utah in the winter of 2020/2021. The purpose of this request for bids is to solicit bids from pipe fabricators to supply the welded steel piping, elbows, outlets, flanges, expansion joints, grooved end couplings and other appurtenances required for the project. It is requisite that the District have this pipeline in service by May 15, 2021 for the irrigation season. The pipe supplier will need to have the pipe fabricated and ready to ship by March 31, 2021. Liquidated damages will be included in the contract at a rate of $1,000 per calendar day if this date cannot be met. Bids will be based on the 50% plan set. The scope of work for this bid will include fabricating, lining, and coating for all welded steel piping as shown in the attached 50% plans and specifications and associated attachments. Additional miscellaneous metal fabrications (i.e. pipe stands) will be included with this project, but will not be included as a part of this bid. Pipe Installation - The District has not yet selected the contractor who will install this pipe. The pipe supplier will coordinate with the contractor for pipe delivery and miscellaneous metal fabrication once the contractor has been selected. It is anticipated that this contract will be assigned to the contractor to be selected.
