Site work for a water / sewer project in South Lake Tahoe, California. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

Hard copy original Bid Bond (or other acceptable form of bid security) MUST be delivered to District in advance of Bid deadline. Bids shall be valid for 60 calendar days after the bid opening date, as required in the Bid Form. The site of the work is multiple locations located in the STPUD service area, in the City of South Lake Tahoe and unincorporated areas of the County of El Dorado, California. The work to be performed consists of the installation of approximately 5,000 linear feet of 8-inch water main and associated water services, residential meters, fire hydrants, mainline connections, installation of three pressure regulating stations and site restoration including landscaping, paving and other related work. Residential water meters, meter antenna units, and lids and frames for water meter pits will be provided by STPUD and installed by the contractor. Two existing pressure regulating stations located in vaults will be demolished. Two new pressure regulating stations will be installed, including electrical panel and communication back to the District's SCADA system. All bids are to be submitted electronically as required in Section 00 20 00 Instructions for Procurement. After electronic bidding, each bidder shall submit their original Bid Forms to South Tahoe Public Utility District at 1275 Meadow Crest Drive, South Lake Tahoe, California by 5:00 pm on Monday, March 8, 2021. Questions or comments regarding this project must be submitted electronically via our electronic bidding system and must be received by the District no later than 5:00 pm on Thursday, February 25, 2021. Questions received after the date indicated will not be accepted. Phone Calls, Emails and faxes will not be accepted. Responses from the District will be communicated via the electronic bidding system. This project is being funded, in part, by the California Drinking Water State Revolving Fund (DWSRF) Program and the United States Bureau of Reclamation (USBOR Funding). The Contractor will be required to comply with State and federal contract rules and regulations including requirements for Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) and American Iron and Steel (AIS) as detailed in Sections 00 74 00 and 00 75 00 of the Specifications. The prime contractor is required to provide documentation that the local U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) and/or the Minority Business Development Agency (MBDA) of the U.S. Department of Commerce were notified of the contracting opportunity at least thirty (30) calendar days prior to the bid opening date. A bid will be considered non-responsive unless it includes the forms required in Section 00 75 00 to be completed and submitted with the Bid. In accordance with the provisions of California Public Contract Code section 3300, the South Tahoe Public Utility District has determined that the bidder shall possess a valid class A contractor license at the time of bid opening, the Contract is awarded and for the duration of the Contract. Failure to possess the specified license shall render the bid as non-responsive and shall act as a bar to awarding the contract to any bidder not possessing said license at the time of award.
