The work generally involves mobilization of equipment, tree trimming, tree removal, stump removal, clearing, clearing and grubbing, pole removal, site restoration including topsoil, seeding, and mulching, erosion and sediment control, landscaping/ tree replacement, and providing professional survey documentation. Scope of work includes tree trimming and tree removal of obstruction off the approach end of Runway 8.The obstructions to be removed are primarily off-airport on private lands where the airport holds aviation easements. Obstructions to be addressed include penetrations to the RW 8 20:1 Approach (EB 99 Row 4), the RW 8 30:1 Approach (EB 99 Row 6), the RW 26 Departure (EB99 Row 7 with published climb gradient), and the RW 8 Final Approach Surface (Section 10-2, TERPS Order 8260.3D). The obstruction removal work will be performed and constructed under a Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airport Improvement Program (AIP) grant to the airport. Each bid must be accompanied by a Bid Security in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the base bid in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive any and all irregularities and the right to reject all non-conforming, non-responsive or conditional bids, in the Owners sole discretion. The Owner assumes no responsibility for bids mailed but not received.
