Site work for a water / sewer project in Middleburg, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The project encompasses the reconstruction and restoration of the existing channel that defines Stumps Run. This includes the removal of cast in place concrete retaining walls, earthwork, embankment stabilization, and construction of new precast retaining walls on Stumps Run. The work takes place between East Market Street and continues upstream for approximately 400 feet. Tentative award is scheduled for March 10, 2021. Each bid proposal shall be accompanied by a Bidder's Bond, certified check or cashier's check, in favor of the Borough, in the amount of not less than 10% of the bid. The Borough reserves the right to waive any informality in and to accept or reject any and all bids. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of 60-days, with the right to extend that time to 120-days If additional time is needed. Bidders must submit with their bid, the Non-Col-lusion Affidavit contained in the contract documents. The contract documents contain requirements addressing prevailing labor wage rates, labor standards, and nondiscrimination in hiring practices. Prevailing wages established under the State Prevailing Wage Act apply. The project is subject to all applicable provisions of the respective Act subject to all applicable provisions and the bid shall be prepared accordingly. The applicable wage determinations are included in the contract documents.
