Renovation of a mixed-use development in Hoosick Falls, New York. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
Sealed bids shall be received for the Hoosick Falls Central School District Capital Improvement Project Main Building Alterations (SED #49-05-01-06-0-001-016) located at 21187 NY 22, Hoosick Falls NY 12090. Work involves, but is not limited to building system upgrades and replacements, building alterations and site improvements. Each bid must be accompanied by a Bid Bond payable to the Hoosick Falls Central School District, in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders, for a sum equal to 5% of the base bid amount. A Bidder may submit a certified check in lieu of a Bid Bond. A Performance Bond and Payment Bond will be required of each successful Bidder, each Bond for the full amount of the contract price in accordance with the Contract Documents. If a Bidder fails to execute the agreement in the Contract Documents or to furnish the required Performance Bond and Payment Bond within ten (10) days from the date on which they are notified that their Bid has been accepted, their Bid Bond or certified check and the amount thereof shall be forfeited to the Owner. Successful Bidders will be required to comply with state prevailing wage requirements of section 220 of New York State Labor Law. The Owner is a New York State Governmental entity and is exempt from payment of Federal Excise Tax, Sales and Compensating Use Taxes of the State of New York and of cities, counties and other subdivisions of the State. No sales tax is to be paid on labor and materials incorporated in the work. The construction site shall be maintained during the entire construction period as drug-free, alcohol-free, tobacco-free, and weapon-free. Bidders are hereby advised that compliance with "Regulations of the Commissioner of Education, Part 155" will be required. Bids will be evaluated in general conformance with the criteria presented in the Instructions to Bidders section of the Contract Documents. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all Bids, to waive irregularities in any and all Bids, and to accept any Bid which it deems to be in its best interest. The Owner reserves the right to revise or amend the Contract Documents prior to the date set for the opening of bids. Such revisions or amendments will be announced to the prospective Bidders by Addenda to the Contract Documents. Receipt of Addenda, if issued, shall be acknowledged on the Bid Form.
