Principal Hydrogeologist The proposed Valley Elementary Shallow Irrigation Well is planned to be drilled to a depth of approximately 80 feet in valley-fill deposits. The desired yield of the proposed well is 100 gallons per minute (gpm). As part of the Work, the Contractor shall: * Drill a minimum 10.75-inch diameter borehole to total depth (estimated to be 80 feet) using dual-rotary drilling methods; * Install a nominal 6-inch diameter production casing and well screen assembly; * Install gravel pack and a well seal; * Develop and air-lift test the well; and * Perform other tasks as directed by the Engineer and described in these Technical Specifications and the Contract Documents. Bid security, payment and performance bonds are required. The Contractor shall utilize dual-rotary drilling methods with air as the primary drilling fluid. Use of bentonite drilling fluid must be pre-approved by the Engineer.
