The City of Sedalia hereby gives public notice that it is requesting proposals from interested and qualified contractors for the following project: Demolition of Structures Located at 604 West Main Street Sedalia, Missouri The City of Sedalia, MO is seeking proposals for the removal of the structures located at 604 West Main Street in Sedalia, Missouri. An asbestos inspection was completed by Gehm Environmental in January 2021 and the report is attached. If Alternate #1 is awarded to the selected demolition contractor, they will be responsible for providing the asbestos removal for the items listed in the report. The materials listed in the report are federally regulated concerning abatement methods, worker training, and notification of occupants, employees and contractor. The completed project must include removal of structures according to City of Sedalia according to City of Sedalia Codebook Building Demolition ordinances Section 10-491, et seq. including the demolition standards found at Section 10-495. All work is required to be performed in compliance with the Prevailing Wage Law of Missouri and Missouri Department of Natural Resources asbestos requirements and the Code of Ordinances of the City of Sedalia.
