**As of June 2, 2021, the project has been awarded but award amount was not confirmed and the construction start date is approximately 6/15/21 but completion date has not yet been established.** Demolish and remove existing Trane multi-zone air handling unit, 20-Ton air-cooled water chiller, in-line return air fan and relief air louver including associated piping, pumps, power connections, wiring, controls, (6) supply air duct drops, etc. from attic. Replace multi-zone air handling unit with (6) new air handlers with supplemental electric resistance heating coils, outside air ductwork, motorized dampers, relief air, etc. (6) new outdoor heat pump units to be installed on existing roof with limited building access. Replace demolished thermostats with new programmable thermostats in same locations. Provide new relief air louver. Existing ductwork to be modified to tie into new air handling units as shown on plan. Existing branch ductwork, diffusers, grilles and exhaust fans to be inspected, tested, and refurbished as required. Demolish and remove existing electrical connections for the HVAC that is being demolished and removed. Provide new service disconnect located in main electric room and route new cables and conduit to new panel located in attic. Each new air handling unit, heat pump, and motorized dampers will have a disconnect switch located on the unit. Each unit will require a circuit breaker, wire, conduit from panel to associated HVAC unit. CLARIFICATION DEADLINE 4/5/2021 12:00 AM Each bid shall be submitted in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders, including but not limited to being accompanied by a Bid Bond or Certified Check for not less than ten percent (10%) of the Bid amount payable to Franconia Township. The successful Bidder shall be required to furnish proof of insurance, performance and payment bonds for 100% of the amount of the contract, and maintenance bond in such form as meets the approval of Franconia Township and having as security thereon such Surety company as is approved by Franconia Township. A Bid may be modified or withdrawn by an appropriate document duly executed in the manner that a Bid must be executed and delivered to the place where Bids are to be submitted prior to the date and time for the opening of Bids. Bids may be withdrawn within two (2) business days after the opening of Bids only by the withdrawing Bidder's strict compliance with 73 P.S. 1602 and any subsequent amendments. No Bidder may withdraw their bid within sixty (60) days after the date set for the opening of the bids, or for such longer period of time that Bidder may agree to in writing upon request of Owner. Franconia Township reserves the right to reject any and all bids for any cause whatsoever, to eliminate any item or items from the contract, and to waive any informality in the bids.
