The Middleburg Municipal Authority (MMA) is proposing the Water System Improvements Project to rehabilitate their existing water filtration plant with new electrical controls and process equipment, construct a new pre-cast concrete 290,000-gallon concrete water storage tank, construction a new 163,000-gallon bolted steel standpipe tank, new pre-cast meter building, install two new water storage tanks, and replace approximately 10,000-lineal feet of water mains throughout the water distribution system in Middleburg Borough and Franklin Township. Separate Bids will be received for Contract No. 1 - General Construction, Contract No. 2 - Electrical Construction, Contract No. 3 - Concrete Tank Construction, and Contract No. 4 - Standpipe Tank Construction. The deadline for Questions is 3/19/2021 at 5:00 PM. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in the amount of ten (10%) percent of the total bid, as a guarantee that the bidder will execute the contract and furnish the necessary bonds if the contract is awarded to him. This Project is being funded by PennVEST. The Supplementary Conditions set forth requirements for the payment by the Contractor and all Subcontractors of minimum wage rates for all classes of laborers and mechanics as set forth by all applicable provisions of the Davis Bacon Wage Rate, and the Bid shall be prepared accordingly.
